Fighter Bio: Gary “Evil Ginger†Wright KOTC Canadian Welterweight Champion Record 7-0
Gary Wright began practicing the Martial Arts at the tender age of eleven. Inspired by television shows, such as the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, Gary took up the art of Shotokan Karate, where he earned his 2nd degree brown belt before deciding to pursue other endeavors in football and rugby.
In 2001, Gary joined Toshido Fighting Arts and has trained under the guidance of head coach; David Lea. Gary also competed for several years in both collegiate and freestyle wrestling on the SFU varsity wrestling team. After returning to Kelowna, Gary started training full-time and was itching to get in the ring or cage for the first time.
Gary “The Evil Ginger†Wright’s first taste of professional MMA combat took place in December 2005 at KOTC/Conquest. Wright secured the win in his mixed martial arts debut. Since his first fight Gary has gone on to victory five more times, using his relentless, non-stop style.

Fighter Bio: Rory “Waterboy†Macdonald – KOTC Canadian Lightweight Champion Rory was first introduced to MMA by his father at the age of 6, when he, his older brother, and father, would watch the early UFC tournaments. Even at a young age, martial arts were always on the mind of Rory, and after watching UFC tapes and Boxing events his interest grew that much more. Rory was heavily influenced by athletics growing up, with his main focus on rep hockey. But at age 14, Rory came across Toshido Fighting Arts in Kelowna and quickly became addicted to training and learning all he could about MMA. He soon made the decision to quit hockey and focus entirely on training in MMA. At the age of 14, Rory started competing in grappling tournaments. By age 15, after competing and dominating the youth divisions, he found himself bored and decided to make the move to try the adult divisions which he found success in winning the gold 3 out of 4 tournaments he competed in.

Unfortunately for his training, Nick felt he had to take a year off from training to focus on the last year of his Biochemistry Honours degree from the University of Ottawa.
